01 Use
Pressured foam proportioning unit is a key equipment in high,
middle and low multiple foam extinguishing systems. It can be
installed in low and middle multiple oil tank used foam
extinguishing systems, low multiple foam spray extinguishing
systems and high multiple fully submerge foam extinguishing
systems.

03 Equipment structure and Working principle
This equipment is mainly contained by pressured proportioning unit,
tank, diaphragm, joint pipeline, valve, instrument and so on(See
picture one).
The working principle of this equipment: Pressured water entry the
pressured proportioning unit by influent branch to the tank.
Pressured water extrusive the foam after entry, then foam and water
mix at the designed rate(3% or 6%).

05 Installtion and operation instructions
Installation
The fluent direction of pressure water should be the same with the
direction showed by the arrow in the proportioning mixer when
installed. Pressure instrument, unidirectional valve, control
valve, pipeline filter should be installed before the proportioning
mixer. When the system takes the automatic control way, pressure
switch and electric(or gas) control valve should be installed.
The role of device
A.The proportioning mixer should be used under set pressure and
suitable range of intermixture current. The mix ratio of mixture
current made by the proportioning unit can automatically regulate
within the prescribled limits by the flow of water. As a result it
can remain steady mix ratio.
B.When pressure water pass through the proportioning mixer, it is
time to open the inlet valve of the tank and observe the pressure
instrument. When the pressure reach the set pressure, outlet valve
is to be opened. Then the mixer begins to work.
C.Outlet valve should be closed at first after used. Then the inlet
valve of the tank should be closed. If plenty of mixture current is
needed in a short time, water in the tank can be preserved at
present.
Supplement of foam mixture (foam fire extinguishing agent)
The residuary foam mixture can be used next time. The only thing to
do is to add the foam mixture to the set quantity. What’s more, the
type and the manufacturer of the foam mixture should be the same as
the residuary one. There are two methods of filling. The first one
is that open the max flange and exhausts valve, then add the
mixture by the export for foam. Close the outlet valve and exhausts
valve when finished.
Open the ball valve in the tank and export for foam mixture and
sample if a foam extinguishing agent experiment is needed.
This mixer should be installed indoor or a outdoor place with
pretective shed to avoid the sun and rain. The temperature should
be maintained in 0-40°C.
06 Maintenance
1.After the inspection of the equipment, a rule of operation of
this equipment should be made. The rule is suggested to post near
the device and is also easy to see. Full-time and part-time firemen
are needed to inspect and maintain the device.
2.Inspect the tank and proportioning monthly. Make sure there is no
leakage, no corrosion, no mechanical damage and so on.
3.Inspect the foam mixture once a year to make sure the mechanical
component and performance are up to snuff.
07 Scope of supply
1.The supply contains tank, proportioning mixer, the pipeline(entry
for water, entry for gas, export for wa
